Yahoo Acquiring AdInterax

Internet media company Yahoo Inc. on Tuesday said it will buy AdInterax, a company that specializes in offering tools to create rich media ads using video and other technologies.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Yahoo will begin offering these tools to marketers at no charge, the company said.

Silicon Color Acquired by Apple Computer

There are the occasional merger that comes around where you say how are they going to make that work. Well this is not one of them. This would seem like a perfect fit for Apple(profile) and will help to make their products more fully featured. Not much else to say.

Makers of the Mac computer and iPod digital music player Apple Computer have acquired Silicon Color. Silicon Color is the makers of FinalTouch color-correction software. The news was published on the company’s website, which said:

“We are pleased to announced that all Silicon Color technology and intellectual property, including FinalTouch color correction software, was recently sold to Apple. Maintenance agreements held by current Silicon Color customers will be honored by Apple until they expire.”

The company develops professional color finishing software for film and video editors working on Macs. Companies like Discovery Channel and other cable television studios use these products.
